#Regram #RG @amazonwatch: Indigenous peoples of the Peruvian Amazon have been protesting for months after a series of oil spills have contaminated land and rivers along the pipeline route. In recent weeks the government finally agreed to talks with the communities, which last week resulted in agreements for the government and pipeline company to clean up the spills and prevent future ones. This is a victory for the indigenous water protectors, but they -- and we -- must remain vigilant to assure that the government fulfills those agreements.
