The lake is China's largest inland body of water, lying at over 3000m on the Tibetan Plateau. The region contains the sources of the Yangtze, Mekong, and Yellow Rivers which feed water to millions downstream. As a result of climate change, temperatures are rising on the Tibetan Plateau faster than anywhere on earth outside the polar regions. As glaciers melt, grasslands degrade and an ancient way of life changes, climate change is all too real on the roof of the world. #asia #china #tibet #climatechange
