#Regram #RG @franslanting: Photo by @FransLanting A nearly full-grown black rhino calf appears to be hiding behind its mom, who is a formidable adversary for any natural enemy, but she is defenseless against poachers who come equipped with military hardware like machine guns and night goggles. I photographed these rhinos at Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya, which has ramped up a paramilitary force of its own in response, but many places which harbor rhinos do not have the resources to do so.
