3/3 ? A cultural powerhouse, Villa Albani Torlonia was designed in the mid-eighteenth century to house the prestigious collection of antiquities of Cardinale Alessandro Albani. The Leda sitting at the centre of the Gallery is a first-century Roman copy of an earlier Greek statue from the IV century B.C. attributed to Timotheos. Creative Director @alessandro_michele’s desire was in fact to magnify the importance of the value of the copy, at times more authentic and real than its original.
